Development of a Water Metering Program for the Ogongo-Oshakati-Pipeline and Monitoring System for flows, levels and water quality for Calueque-Oshakati Canal

The objective is to modernize water management systems for the Ogongo-Oshakai Pipeline and the Calueque-Oshakati-Canal.

• Enhance infrastructure security, including maintenance and operational plans to ensure long-term reliability and sustainability. 

Specific tasks for the Calueque-Oshakati-Canal: 

• Design a tailored monitoring system with automated data collection and SCADA integration.
• Conduct field assessments to assess infrastructure needs and monitoring points.
• Develop measures to safeguard equipment from theft, vandalism and environmental challenges.
• Ensure long-term functionality, plan for recurring maintenance needs.
